PMX-320 Impact mill
Impact milling is a common method for industrial grinding of soft materials which are at the beginning of the Mohs scale.
The device is also used to disperse agglomerates as a preliminary process before air classification.
Principle of operation of the Comex impact mill
The mill consists of two rotors. One is stationary and the other is driven by the engine.
The feed material enters the mill by gravity through the inlet pipe, centrally into the space between the rotors. As a consequence, in order for the particles to escape from the grinding chamber, they must pass through several rows of fixed and movable metal pins. Depending on the rotational speed of the moving rotor, the material is ground appropriately.

Impact mill parameters:
• capacity up to 1000kg/h
• max speed 3000rpm
• very simply constraction
• low energy demand
• compact mechanical design
• easy inspection and removal of the rotor
• low cost of maintenance for the complete unit
